rikm A fantastic live release from Trance to the Sun, emphasizing their immense talent and the quality of their musicianship.

I've been a fan for over twenty years now, and even after all that time I still remain impressed and amazed by their awesomeness.

If you're already a fan then this album will surely serve as a great reminder of why you love them, and if you've never been introduced, well then this is a fantastic place to start what is sure to be an epic and surreal musical journey...

about

The seven concert tracks on Florakleptonomy were recorded live in 1999, with the band featuring Ingrid Luna, Ashkelon Sain, James Webb, & Dhanan Zakheim. This release was originally available only as a CDR from the merch table at live shows. This remastered release contains the full concert set as recorded live at Club Nym in Santa Barbara, during the first leg of the Urchin Tear Soda U.S. Tour. Four tracks from the studio album Urchin Tear Soda are presented, along with an evolved version of "Automatic Reversal" from the Azalean Sea album. Two tracks written for compilation appearances on Cleopatra Records during this time period also appear: One of those, "Malla At Ease", would later appear on "The Blue Obscurities" (a fantastic collection in its own right). The original studio rendition of "You Can Never Cut Your Hair" can only be found on Cleopatra Records' Black Bible Volume 4. The final track, "Memory Blvd" is a studio outtake from 1998, and is an exclusive outro to this lovely snapshot in time.

Trance To The Sun Santa Barbara, California

"If you are already a fan, then you arrive here in anticipation of a succinct visit to this vast purple planet of otherworldly songs. If you are a first time listener, then you are to be envied. You are about to embark on a journey into a bright and blasted landscape of words and sounds that will dwell in your subconscious and dreams for a long time to come."
